Mobile homes are titled through the FLHSMV just like vehicles — but their VIN plates are far more likely to go missing over the years. If you're trying to obtain a new or reissued title and the VIN can't be located or read, a Mobile Home VIN Verification Affidavit is usually the way forward.

What the affidavit covers
A Florida notary personally inspects the mobile home and completes a sworn affidavit documenting:
- The affiant's (owner's) name, address, and contact details
- Known mobile home details — year, make, model, length, and width
- Any existing title or license plate number
